Founded in 1988, WERU-FM 89.9 is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit, noncommercial community radio station which has broadcast from its volunteer-run station in East Orland, Maine broadcasting diverse music and public affairs programming to listeners in Downeast, Coastal and Central Maine since 1988.
RainStorm helped to replace a cumbersome and outdated system with a responsive WordPress website and custom plugins that sync and remove content that has a time-limit (due to regulations, some content has a limited access lifespan. We created special plugins to automatically interact with that content so WERU can focus on other content and station management.
Visitors can find a variety of information, from live online streaming of station programming to archived programs, access and contribute to the community calendar, support the station with an online donation, and learn about schedules, shows, news, and more.
